It was a cold rainy night. Cassandra had accompanied her friend to the Busa house. The floor was slippery, the street lights were surrounded by insects with drops of water on the floor. It felt like a great night to relax from boring lectures during the day. The queue for noodles was overwhelming, everyone was trying to get a pack of noodles before it finished. Ada looked at the crowd and did a quick maths of probability. The result was heartbreaking. Ada said, “girls let forget about noodles tonight”. “If we can’t get hot noodles tonight then we should be able to get ourselves, hot guys,” Mimi said.

Lil’ Divas decided to walk towards the SAT (Science and Technology) building perhaps their luck could shine. With high expectations, they walked from one lecture theatre to another, displaying their God-given shapes and gifts. All was vain. With disappointment, Lil’ Divas decided to journey back to their hostel. Walking down the stairs with disappointing thoughts running through her mind, Cassandra bumped into a guy. “I am sorry.” He said with a deep masculine voice. Cassandra was short of words. Finally, the thick cloud of disappointment over her disappeared. She could not control it, she kept blushing at the guy.

As days pass, the love Cassandra had for this guy grew. Calling and texting at late nights became a custom. He knew the right things to do to make her happy. Things became so sweet for the young love birds. But there was one problem, he was hardly available during the day. It was either tutorial or basketball practice even at that Cassandra loved him. Finally, he made a move. He asked Cassandra to be his girlfriend. It was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Cassandra was reading for a mid-semester examination when her friend walked into her room. “Cassandra!!! It’s time for worship” Her friend said. Cassandra resisted going. “At least follow me to my chapel please!” Her friend insisted. Cassandra had no choice but to go with her friend.

“The worship was amazing, I enjoyed …” Her friend said but was cut short when both friends saw a couple kissing on-road with little light. “ Aww” they both exclaimed. It was all cute until Cassandra noticed the wristwatch she gave the guy on their 100days anniversary.

Cassandra could not believe her eyes, She walked up to the couple. She summoned the courage to give a tap on his back. But to her greatest surprise, he was not her guy. She turned back to her friend and took a deep breath. Cassandra continued the discussion with her friend while waiting for Mimi. Cassandra felt a touch from behind. Someone was trying to be goofy. Cassandra trying to guess who that was turned. Although it was Mimi, Cassandra could not believe what she was seeing. Her boyfriend in the arms of another lady with his lips between the lips of that strange lady.

Cassandra’s heart met a titanic tragedy. Tears flowed down her cheek as she recalled all the romance that occurred during the past few weeks. Let’s pause there. I am sorry, I just have to interrupt here. You will agree with me that it is difficult for a lady to know when a guy is playing her. This is where I burst some bubbles. It is quite facile to know when a guy is playing you.

From the above scenario, we can take cognizant of somethings that guys commonly do to ladies that they are playing.

Firstly he only asked Cassandra out when he had nothing doing. This is one of the things guys normally do to ladies that they are playing. They never take ladies like that seriously. Also, He only texted and called in the night. Why? Simple, he did not take her as a priority. I know some may insist that he could be busy. Yeah, that’s right. He could be busy kissing another lady. He could be busy going out on dates with another lady. The truth is guys will always find time to call the lady they love during the day irrespective of the fact that they could be busy. That’s love. Guys love hearing the voice of the lady they love.

Ladies if you notice that your man does not take you out in public for dates, acts weird or says he wants a relationship but does not show it, he is most likely playing you. If you have been played by a guy, don’t give up on love. True love still exists.
